Unique Guest Book

For our small destination wedding, we decided to do a unique and unexpected guestbook. I found this wooden "we" block at Hobby Lobby for less than $20. I bought the special pen and let people write directly on it. When we got home from the wedding, we sealed it with a satin spray finish. Now we keep it on our mantle and love it!

Wedding Shower Favors

The favors for this wedding shower came to approximately $3 each plus taxes. In addition we made custom labels for the brunch table as well as tags for the gifts.

The favors included buckets, bubble bath and sleep masks, all from Target and priced at $1 for each piece. The end result was adorable.

I found label templates for this party through Cathe Holden's food and gift labels. By using photo shop I added some color to the label templates and used the Riesling font to coordinate all of the labels.
Riesling Font on the labels:
I also used the template to print out a "Sara + Alan" sign above the brunch buffet.
We used left over gift tags for the vases on the table. Floating flower buds in the simple votive holders added more height and color to the table.

Lingerie Wedding Shower

Lingerie Wedding Shower Brunch Menu

My girlfriend and I recently hosted a lingerie wedding shower brunch at my home for our friend and bride-to-be Sara. Here are some of the highlights of our menu and decor.
Mimosa Bar
I found these bottles at TJ Maxx for $5.99 each. They made the perfect containers for our varieties of mimosa mixes. We made three simple mixes:
  • Peach Nectar Mango (peach nectar with mango orange juice)
  • Grand Mimosa (Orange juice and Grand Marnier)
  • Strawberry Mimos (fresh Strawberries blended with orange juice and grenadine)

Along with the mixes, we made a simple raspberry ice in a heart shaped mold found at Target ($1).
Breakfast Buffet
This gluten-free menu included:
Emeril's Southwest Mexican Casserole with turkey sausage subbed for chirizo

Hashbrown Casserole (made with gluten-free cream of chicken soup)

Yogurt and Granola Parfaits (with Udi's gluten-free granola from Whole Foods, Ch0bani vanilla yogurt and fresh berries)

Gluten Free Blueberry Muffins (mix from Whole Foods)
Fruit Salad
More on the shower favors and DIY shower labels to come....
